After a brief introductory lecture about Trigger Point Therapy, William will demonstrate where the various trigger points are located, and the symptoms they can produce.

Each module will cover a specific area of the body.

 

Attendees will practice the demonstrated techniques with a partner.

 

All attendees will receive a “Certificate of Completion” for each module attended.

 

Each completed Trigger Point Therapy Module (1 – 5) offers credit hours toward attending a WHM Level 1 Trigger Point Bodyworker Certification course.

Whats Covered

Module 1 – Head and Neck

3 credit hours

 

Symptoms included in this module

  • Migraine
  • Headache
  • Vertigo / Dizziness

Module 2 – Shoulders and Upper Extremities

3 credit hours

  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Shoulder Joint Pain (includes deltoid)
  • Pain / Burning Sensation near Scapulae
  • Tennis Elbow / Golfer’s Elbow
  • Pain in Forearm
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)
  • Wrist and Hand Swelling
  • Hand and Finger Pain (includes arthritis pain)
  • Hand or Finger Numbness

 

Module 3 – Torso

3 credit hours

 

Symptoms included in this module

  • Chest Pain / Breast Pain
  • Upper Back Pain
  • Heartburn, Acid Reflux, GERD
  • Gas, Bloating, Diarrhea, Constipation
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Dysmenorrhea (very painful menstrual periods)
  • Bladder Symptoms (leakage, urgency, frequency and nocturia)
  • Lower Back Pain

Module 4 – Hip / Buttock / Knee

3 credit hours

  • Pain Near or at Sacrum and/or Coccyx
  • Hip Joint Pain or Stiffness (Arthritis)

  • Groin Pain
  • Tight Hamstring
  • Rectal Pain
  • IT Band Symptoms

Module 5 – Lower Leg and Feet
